Be inspired to recognize Vinyasa Yoga as an artful approach to living. Learn to take your yoga off the mat and into the rhythm and sequence of your daily life. Based around an intelligent Krama (evolution) flow of postures, energetic alignment, breathing and meditation this workshop builds in a step by step method to systematically open the body and mind, cultivating an awareness that links each action to the next. Each wave of postures allows the body and mind to open gradually and intelligently to the next posture. YOGA FOR CYCLISTS
Using yoga to cross train for cycling can help build strength, endurance and flexibility. Cyclists often experience overtaxed muscles, tightness and imbalance in the body from a predominately one dimensional sport. Heather offers workshop intensives for cyclists to learn how to use yoga to develop core strength and balance, improve breathing capacity and create fluidity of movement on the bike. Available for small groups or bike teams.
YOGA FOR RUNNERS
Many runners are sidelined by injuries caused by imbalance due to too much shortening and tightening of key running muscles. A specialized yoga program can help you create balance and stability, relieving stress on muscles, joints and the entire skeletal system. Yoga for Runners helps increase range of motion, engage supporting muscle structure and learn how to breath effectively for a more productive, fluid running body.
YOGA FOR NORDIC SKIERS
Using yoga to cross train for skiing helps develop core strength and balance making your stride more efficient and fluid. Breathing techniques help build endurance and increase lung capacity. Specific yoga tools can help build muscle strength while increasing flexibility and range of motion.
YOGA FOR TENNIS PLAYERS
Yoga helps create balance and focus on the tennis court. Building core strength protects tennis players from problems with the low back and joints. Tennis players predominately create imbalance in their core by strengthening one side of the body more than the other. Twisting and balancing work helps even out the body’s strength and flexibility. Heather offers workshops to teach tennis player yoga tools they can use. Available as private sessions, or small group workshops for your team or a group of friends.

Build strength and confidence. Learn to add arm balancing sequences to your vinyasa practice. Through awareness and intention you will learn to open your body and mind, building the balance and confidence to add effortless, strong arm balancing to your practice. This fun, creative flow, opens the hips, strengthens the core and teaches you to soar upward with a variety of techniques to build arm balancing skills.
